Fans of the hit British TV series, Dad’s Army, rejoice; the cast has been revealed today for the film remake – which will be shot entirely in Yorkshire – and it’s already shaping up to be an incredible ensemble. An impressive troupe of veterans will play the old-age military men, including Bill Nighy as Wilson, followed by Toby Jones as Captain Mainwaring, and Michael Gambon as Godfrey. A fresher face joining them will be The Inbetweeners’ Blake Harrison as Pike, while Catherine Zeta-Jones will play a journalist sent to Walmington-on-Sea. It’ll be interesting to see how the 21st Century reacts to a Dad’s Army film, but with a cast like that, we’re sure it’ll do just fine at the box office.
