Big trailers arriving this week

As we approach the summer season, the big releases are coming thick and fast and there’s certainly some big trailers to anticipate this week. Let’s run through them…

The Dark Tower – Trailer Tomorrow

At long last the first official trailer will arrive tomorrow for Stephen King’s The Dark Tower starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey. We’ve had to wait a while, after getting an early glimpse of the film in the leaked trailer last year. Colombia Pictures has revealed the trailer date as tomorrow with a runtime of 2 mins 32 secs.

Dunkirk – Trailer on Friday 9am PT

Warner Bros. has announced that the new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk will land on Friday. It’s also confirmed to play with U.S. screenings of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on Thursday before the online launch. The trailer clocks in at 2 mins 25 secs. The Big Sick

Amongst the big blockbusters mentioned above is exciting indie comedy The Big Sick which wowed critics at Sundance and is set to have its first trailer released this week.

A couple deals with their cultural differences in The Big Sick.

Other big trailers to expect soon but unlikely this week are Blade Runner 2049 and an extended look at Pirates of the Caribbean 5. Alien director Ridley Scott revealed that the Blade Runner sequel will play in front of Alien: Covenant showings, which is released on May 19th, so we can expect it to release online shortly before then. While Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales had an extended 5 minute trailer shown with Guardians of the Galaxy 2 so we can also expect that online soon too.
