Benedict Cumberbatch is the first lead to be cast in Andy Serkis’ directorial debut, Jungle Book: Origins. He’ll voice the villainous tiger Shere Khan. The pair worked together on The Hobbit trilogy, with Cumberbatch playing the dragon Smaug and Serkis reprising his role as Gollum. Jungle Book: Origins is set for release on October 21, 2016.
