Bad Santa 2 confirmed

It’s time to celebrate Christmas early, filmgoers: the sequel to filthy seasonal hit Bad Santa has been officially confirmed. Miramax have stated that Bad Santa 2 will start filming this coming January, with Billy Bob Thornton reprising his role as Willie Soke – the titular bad Santa of the original film.

With the first Bad Santa now over a decade old, it’s interesting to see how much cult love the movie has found in all that time; Bad Santa 2 is sure to be a financial hit when it finally arrives (we’re estimating Christmas 2016). Interestingly, no director has been announced yet, and neither has a writer; we’re just glad that this much-needed anti-Christmas flick is finally getting the go-ahead. Just don’t book its central character for your christmas party.
