Ubisoft has announced that an Assassin’s Creed virtual reality experience will be released this year. The VR spinoff will be based on the upcoming film and is being created in partnership with Fox and effects company Practical Magic.
Ubisoft revealed the news via twitter:
Just announced: Assassin's Creed VR experience – based on the film – is coming this year from FOX & Practical Magic. pic.twitter.com/YZUCJwfPY3

The VR experience was shot at the same time as the movie during production. And like the film, stars Michael Fassbender in the leading role.
Assassin’s Creed the movie hits cinemas on December 21 in the US.
