Wonder Woman Gets New Release Date

Although Batman v Superman didn’t exactly blow everyone away, we can all agree that Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman was pretty awesome. Fortunately, that standalone Wonder Woman movie is coming earlier than expected.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the superhero film’s release date has been moved up from June 23, 2017 to June 2, 2017. Warner Bros. has additionally reserved two dates for a couple untitled DC movies: Oct. 5, 2018, and Nov. 1, 2019. Other upcoming films in the DC Extended Universe will include Suicide Squad (Aug. 5, 2016), The Flash (March 16, 2018), The Justice League Part One (Nov. 17, 2017), Aquaman (July 27, 2018), Shazam! (April 5, 2019), Justice League Part Two (June 14, 2019), Cyborg (April 3, 2020) and Green Lantern Corps (June 19, 2020).

While WB is moving Wonder Woman up, they’re pushing back the release date for Andy Serkis’ adaptation of The Jungle Book. Instead of hitting theaters on Oct. 6, 2017, this version will now come out on Oct. 19, 2018. This is probably because Disney has their own live-action version of The Jungle Book coming out later this month.
