The Last Jedi to be longest Star Wars movie ever

You know how Justice League is the shortest DCEU movie to date? Well, The Last Jedi is doing the complete opposite for the Star Wars franchise.

Speaking with IGN France, director Rian Johnson confirmed that his film would be 2 hours and 30 minutes. This surpasses the run time for Episode II — Attack of the Clones (2 hours and 22 minutes), making it the longest Star Wars movie ever.

In addition to directed the longest Star Wars movie, Johnson should see plenty more of the franchise in the future, as he’s been hired to direct another trilogy separate from the Luke Skywalker clan.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15, 2017.
