Suicide Squad: Jared Leto ‘up for’ Joker spin-off film
We already know that a Harley Quinn spin-off film is in development and now it’s rumoured that another character from David Ayer’s upcoming Suicide Squad, is also set to have their own movie.
As according to We Got This Covered, Warner Bros. are also planning a Joker spin-off with Jared Leto reportedly “up for it”.
A source told the site:
“They’re going to do a sequel for sure, and the recently announced Harley Quinn spinoff with Margot Robbie has got everyone excited, but their plans don’t end there.
“The Joker is a definite possibility for a spinoff, and Jared [Leto] seems up for it.”
The source went onto say that plenty more spin-offs could also happen:
“I’ve heard more than a few talks of giving some of the other Task Force X members their own spinoffs. They’re also really hot on Jai Courtney’s character Boomerang right now.
“Nothing’s set in stone yet, but you’re definitely going to be seeing a lot more of these guys in the years to come.”
Although we can’t read too much into these reports, a joker spin-off film is certainly an exciting prospect.
However, no doubt any spin-off will depend on the success of Suicide Squad but it’s looking good so far the film, after audiences took to twitter to praise the movie, following an early test screening,
But we can find out for ourselves when Suicide Squad hits screens on August 5th.
