Stars comment on why Sex and the City 3 won’t happen

Don’t expect to see Sex and the City 3 anytime soon.

Speaking with Extra, Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed that a third installment in the Sex and the City film franchise would not be moving forward, much to her disappointment.

“It’s over… we’re not doing it,” she stated.

“We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie.”

Parker isn’t the only star that’s commented on the shelved sequel. Kim Cattrall mentioned on Twitter that she turned down a 3rd film last year.

Cattrall was actually the holdout on the original Sex and the City movie, which was delayed for a few years until it finally hit the scene in 2008. A sequel was released in 2010, although it was widely seen as a low point in the series.
