Star Wars: The Force Awakens Among AFI’s Top 10 of 2015

Since Star Wars: The Force Awakens wasn’t screened in advance for most critics groups and award voters, it’s been absent from all Top 10 lists and Best Picture lineups. The American Film Institute was able to see the film in time for their annual Top 10, however, and it merited a spot on their list. This boost from the AFI supports our argument that Star Wars: The Force Awakens just might earn a Best Picture nomination come Oscar time.
