Spring Breakers 2 announced

Spring Breakers will receive a sequel named Spring Breakers: The Second Coming. Not directly linked to the first film, this time around, the four girls will be seen taking on a christian sect.

While no major details aside from the plot have been released, it has been confirmed that the film’s original director and writer, Harmony Korine, will not be directing the sequel.

Vincent Maraval of Wild Bunch, whose company will co-produce the film was quoted, saying: “It’s not a direct sequel, although there are allusions to some of the characters in the original”.

No release date window has been announced as of yet.
