Sad Affleck Video Sends Sound of Silence to Top of the Charts
As disappointing as Batman v Superman was, we can’t help but feel bad for poor Ben Affleck. The guy gave it his all as the Dark Knight and turned in a great performance. Since the rest of the film wasn’t on par with Affleck, however, it received generally negative reviews. When asked about the poor critical response in an interview, Affleck looked as if he was on the verge of crying. This resulted in a viral video where Sadfleck’s expression was played with Simon & Garfunkel’s Sound of Silence.

Movie buffs know Sound of Silence best for its crucial role in the 1967 film, The Graduate. Sad Affleck has seemingly reinvigorated the folk song, as it recently climbed to the No. 6 spot on the Billboard Rock Top 10 chart. Sound of Silence sits between Coldplay’s Adventure of a Lifetime at No. 5 and Twenty One Pilots’ Ride at No. 7.
Meanwhile, the Sad Affleck video has already been viewed over 22,000,000 times on YouTube. If you haven’t seen it already, you can watch the video above. We’re still not sure if Sadfleck’s the funniest thing we’ve ever seen or the most heartbreaking. We’re just at a loss for words.
