Marvel icon is the unlikely highest-grossing actor of all time

Legendary comic-book creator, Stan Lee is technically the highest grossing actor of all time. The list comes via The-Numbers.com who have tallied up the total amount of worldwide revenue generated by all the movies a star has appeared in over their lifetime. See the top 10 below:

Lee is best known for co-creating Spider-Man, the Hulk, Fantastic Four, Iron Man and the X-Men. And he takes the top spot on the list above because it’s become somewhat of a tradition for him to have a cameo role in every Marvel film. At 94 years old, he even managed an appearance in Marvel’s latest, Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Lee in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk; he even beats fellow Marvel man Samuel L. Jackson to top spot.

And it gets even better for the comic-book legend, as Twentieth Century Fox recently acquired rights to make a film about his life. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox plan to make an action movie which follows Lee’s move to Hollywood in the ’70s as he brought his iconic characters to the big screen.
