Looper director Rian Johnson to write and direct Star Wars VIII

Rian Johnson, writer and director of original Sci-fi movie Looper, which was both a critically and commercially successful low-budget blockbuster, is set to write and direct Star Wars: Episode VIII. Deadline broke this news and further that he will also reportedly write the treatment for Episode IX.
