In a terrific bit of news for geeks everywhere, Amazon’s revival of the cult TV comedy The Tick has found its new lead, according to TheWrap: Peter Serafinowicz, a beloved supporting actor who’s starred in Shaun of the Dead, Spy, and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Patrick Warburton played the small-time superhero in the original TV show from 2001, who is returning as an executive producer; on writing duties is Ben Edlund, who created the show (including the 1994 animated version), and Wally Pfister is currently attached to direct the series.
The Tick, although a reboot of a particularly odd franchise, should slot in nicely with the glut of superhero movies coming out every year. Are you looking forward to Serafinowicz filling that big blue suit?
